Trip to Blessington Farms

Sunday, March 25, 2018

Three years ago I was searching all over town for places that would have Easter Egg Hunts and I came across Blessington Farms website. I loved the idea of hay rides, slides, pedal cars because immediately took me back when I was little with simple games, lots of fun and best of all no electronics!

This is a great way start the Spring as the weather is gorgeous, so we decided to visit on Sunday March 25th because they currently have an Easter egg hunt "EGG-stravaganza". If you are interested they will have two more days of egg hunt March 30th and 31st.
We started the day with a strawberry picking, it was our first time picking any kind of fruit ever, as we get all of them at the grocery store so it was a new experience for us. They explained the process at the beginning, they provide you with a red basket for you to keep and off you go. Can you imagine picking strawberries, keeping the stem long for chocolate covered strawberries?! Yum!
I was amazed that my kids really enjoyed picking strawberries specially since that is their favorite fruit. Lucky for me that same evening I went grocery shopping at HEB and they were out of strawberries...haha how odd.

Lots of strawberries to pick from!
Then we went to the Farm Funland where they have lots of games for your kids and even adults to play. It is a day full of activities. Some games my kids did where sand mountain, slide mountain, rat race, rope maze and a lot more. We even did the tug-o-war between the boys and girls but of course my husband was pulling super hard that both us could not pull at all! Isabella's favorite activity was the fossil dig where she ended with lots of shark teeth. Alessandro's favorite activity was the trolley swing and thankfully there were not many kids so he did standing, sitting and other positions. By the end of the activities both of them had red cheeks on their faces because they were really working out.

Then last but not least they did the Egg Hunt! Blessington has a separate area to pick the eggs, you can bring your own basket or they will provide one to you. You can pick up to ten eggs all over the place and at the end you get a surprise. Another nice thing about Blessington Farms is that they always have lots of props for you to take picture of your kids because what mom doesn't like to take picture of their kids.

Happy Easter everybody!
XOXO
