My daughter turned 11 years old and starting middle school this year. On fifth grade at her school they started preparing them with health classes about puberty and the changes in their body and most of them she already knew, but I knew I had to step in and gave her a bit more information on the subject knowing that in middle school most kids already have a phone with access to all kinds of information.

A Gift for my Tween Daughter
Tuesday, August 28, 2018 • First Day of School, Traditions
The thing that I love the most of making this blog is that I can write special moments so my kids can read them later in life as many times I forget many things. I'm pretty sure a lot of moms can relate, is like with every pregnancy we loose a few neurons. Now as usual I'm being random! Getting back to the main subject "First Day of School 2018" Isabella is starting 6th grade and Alessandro 2nd grade. My baby girl Camilla is way too far to start school as she is only one year old.
Monday, July 23, 2018 • Birthday Party, Sesame Street Party
My favorite part when planning a birthday party for my kids is the favor bag. I love adding all these little details from the candy, games, picking a fun box, ribbons, tags, etc. I like to have fun with this and many times I think I'm too complicated but I love it! If you are looking for ideas here is the one I did for my daughter's first birthday Sesame Street party.
Sunday, July 22, 2018 • Birthday Party, Sesame Street Party
My baby girl just turned one year old! Since she was six months old she likes watching Sesame Street at PBS Kids and hasn't changed at all, so I knew I had to celebrate with these little monsters because they have brought so much joy to my little girl.

During the summer break you have to get creative if you don't want your kids to tell you all the time "I'm bored!" or seeing them on their electronics for longer periods.
We came up with with the idea of summer camps at home because let's be honest camps are expensive specially if you have two or more kids. Every week we have a theme and this way you find activities, arts, crafts, movies or places that are related to the theme of the week. My kids love to have a calendar with the ideas because they can know what to expect for the week.
Tuesday, June 12, 2018 • Magnolia Table, Mom Blog, Summer Ideas
I remember back in the day we used to watch House Hunters with my husband but then Fixer Upper came by and it changed the whole idea of HGTV because it was a family show and now everyone wants shiplap and farm sinks on their houses. It was not too long that my daughter also join us, so as soon as we saw them building Magnolia Market at the Silos and then the Magnolia Table we knew we had to stop by, but unfortunately they don't open on Sundays so it took us a while to get there.

Wednesday, May 23, 2018 • Mom Blog, Work From Home
From my point of view working from home has been a true blessing, of course I don't always see it that way when everything is upside down but at the end is truly rewarding. When I had my first baby back in 2007 I was planning to go back to work but came to find out that my whole salary was going to be to pay for the daycare. I liked being at home with my baby but at the same time I wanted to feel productive, help with our expenses and so I knew that I had to do something from home and believe me I tried everything from filling surveys, home daycare, selling things at eBay and more, I think I even signed up in a pyramid scheme!

Saturday, April 7, 2018 • Lemonade Stand
Spring is here and that means spring cleaning! is the time for garage sales here on our neighborhood and we get the stuff out that we don't use or don't need anymore. My daughter Isabella knew it would be the perfect time to make a lemonade stand, so my son Alessandro decided to join in as well by selling cookies something that he loves. The money from the sales goes to their piggy banks because they are saving money for college since they were little.
Sunday, April 1, 2018 • Easter, Traditions
Back in Guatemala Easter is completely different is mostly about processions, alfombras de aserrin (sawdust carpets), devotion as the majority are Catholic. It is beautiful and the smell is great. If you get a chance please google to see the beauty or even better visit Guatemala! So being in this country sometimes you have to adjust to new traditions such as the Easter egg hunt and the Easter baskets.
Sunday, March 25, 2018 • Blessington Farms, Easter
Three years ago I was searching all over town for places that would have Easter Egg Hunts and I came across Blessington Farms website. I loved the idea of hay rides, slides, pedal cars because immediately took me back when I was little with simple games, lots of fun and best of all no electronics!
Tuesday, March 20, 2018 • Easter
Making new traditions with my family is my favorite thing! This would be our third year making Easter baskets and we couldn't make an exception this year specially because is Camilla's first Easter.
Sunday, March 4, 2018 • baby first rodeo, Houston rodeo, Mom Blog
In Houston one of the big events of the year is the Livestock Show & Rodeo. Is a fun day where you get to wear your cowboy boots, plaid shirt and your off to a great day! You can do lots of things from play at the carnival rides, games, learn about animals, shop, eat a lot (funnel cakes), go to the concert along with the rodeo and more! Our first year going to the rodeo was back in 2011 when Alessandro was only two months and Isabella was three years old...aww!
